Sharing & Kitchens
Share recipes with anyone and collaborate with household members
Sharing a Recipe
You can share any recipe with a public link — the recipient doesn't need a Recipe Studio account.
- Open the recipe you want to share
- Click the Share button
- Copy the link and send it to anyone
The shared link shows a read-only view of the recipe. Recipients can click Save to Recipe Studio to add it to their own collection.
To revoke access, return to the recipe and click Revoke Share Link. The old link will stop working immediately.
You can also use the Recipe Sharing functionality to copy recipes between kitchens.
What Are Kitchens?
A Kitchen is a shared workspace. Everything you save — recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, and pantry items — lives inside your active kitchen. By default, you have a personal kitchen just for you.
You can invite household members, partners, or roommates to join your kitchen, giving everyone shared access to the same recipes and shopping list.
Inviting Someone to Your Kitchen
- Go to Settings → Kitchen
- Click Invite Member
- Copy the invite link and share it with the person you want to invite
- They click the link, sign in or create an account, and join your kitchen
Accepting a Kitchen Invite
Click the invite link you received. If you already have an account, you'll be redirected to accept. If not, you'll be prompted to create one first. After accepting, your active kitchen will switch to the shared kitchen.
Switching Kitchens
If you belong to multiple kitchens, click the kitchen name in the sidebar to switch between them. Each kitchen has its own recipes, meal plan, and shopping list.
Leaving a Kitchen
Go to Settings → Kitchen and click Leave Kitchen. Your personal kitchen (if you have one) will become active. Recipes and data you contributed stay in the kitchen unless you delete them first.
Kitchen Roles
- Owner: Full access, can invite members, transfer ownership, or delete the kitchen
- Member: Full access to all recipes and features; cannot manage membership
